For Ubuntu 8.04.2 select and install the deb. package from the drop down menu http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 have a built in installer and will prompt you to install when a page is displayed with flash content.
Most Linux Mint releases come with flash preinstalled.
LUg.
Yes adobe has made a ubuntu verison of the flash product. It can be found in the add/remove program section or downloaded off of the adobe website.
I don’t have any trouble viewing flash videos, online or offline. Then again, I do have all the proper codecs installed.
Try these tutorials.
Good luck
