Hello, I am Gaspar from Ask Dr.Tech support service.
Here it is a nice article how to connect from Windows based OS to Linux based OS:
http://www.howtodothings.com/computers/a2335-how-to-connect-linux-and-xp-machines.html
You will need to download TightVNC Software and install it on the Windows based OS.
If you want to do system administration on the Linux system via a console, all you need is the free PuTTY Telnet/SSH client (I’ve been using it for years now).
Obviously, the Linux system must run an SSH daemon (most newer distributions do this by default) and the firewalls and routers must be configured to allow the traffic and deliver it ti the proper system.
