Can I move iTunes songs onto linux applications?
can i move the iTunes song files from windows that i have onto something like rhythmbox or songbird on linux? I’m thinking this might be true because songbird can import iTunes songs. I’m just asking how I move that to a linux version of songbird or something. Do I just use a flash drive? would that work?
By the way, I know about Wine. I just don’t want to have to use Wine to use iTunes.

You can upgrade your purchased songs to iTunes Plus which is DRM-free format. You can convert them into MP3 format. I believe it’s $.30 per song to upgrade your purchased songs. Not all songs are eligible though.
You are going to have problems moving any DRM (Digital Rights Management) songs to linux. You can burn them to a CD, then rip the MP3 files from the CD in linux, or you could use a converter (running in windows) like tunebite from audials.com is absolutely excellent for removing DRM from your music. It can convert just about ANYTHING to any popular format.
It’s not free, but it’s well worth the price.
