Can I hook up a hard drive that was in a Linux environment to a windows OS? Lost data – I don’t know Linux.?

Hard drive in Linux system has lost data. Can only use windows file rebuilding software because I do not know anything about the Linux OS.

It depends on how the hard drive was formatted. By default Linux hard drives are formatted to either EXT2, EXT3, or ReizerFS. Which windows can’t read. Linux can also work with FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS file systems, so the hard drive may be workable. Only way is to find out.
Just wipe the HDD, partition it and format it and load windows
