ClamAV is an open source antivirus engine.
SpamAssassin is an open source spam filtering engine.
Amavis is an open source framework to tie all that together with a mail server.
Check your Linux distribution. It is very likely that all of these software packages are already included in the distribution.
they are hard to find, because linux doesnt have the virus problems that windows does. People simply dont write viruses for the linux operating system, because peopld dont use it (or in the volume to create the need to write a virus). If you crashed all linux home machines, you wouldnt cause much damage at all to the general public.
plus most linux users are tech freaks, so they have firewalls and other security measures that make it a waste of time to even attack them.
windows machines are so often run by people with little knowledge of the internet or security and make wonderful targets.
note to question asker:
antivirus and antispam are very diffrent things. what do you mean by an antispam engine? most email clients have spam filters. i think thunderbird(from mozilla.org) has one.
