Not the kind native too the U.S but the kind that's native to Europe. Mandragora officinarum not May Apple.

Sure, Horizon herbs.

I have very alkaline soil, it's one of the few things I can grow without work. (Autumnalis is a variety of offcinarum, not its own species….really. )
Sorry, not finding any whole roots for sale.

True mandrake is the root of a plant that dreamed it was a person.
Keep digging up plants until you find a root shaped like a human being.
It supposedly easlier to find under a gallows…. But where are you going to find a place where someone was hung in this day and age?
You would probably have to order it from Europe, if you want the real Mandragora. I'm not sure if you can legally import them into the U.S. It can be very dangerous if you use it wrong. Any more than the slightest sliver is extremely toxic, and from what I've read, it's not a pleasant death.
By the way, the name Mandragora actually translates to Man-Dragon. Interesting considering that it's reputed to keep your "serpent" active for a very long time. {EG}
