I actually advise against removing Linux from you mini-note as you will see a drastic drop in your computer’s performance. The only advantage of having WinXP on this device is to use commercial software, and the only commercial software that this device can run has a Linux equivalent that is better anyway. That being said this is what you need to do:
You will need the following:
* a USB CD/DVD ROM (so you can install Windows XP)
* a legit copy of Windows XP (an OEM will be fine and will save you money)
Instructions:
* Save all your personal data somewhere else (like on a USB Hard Drive)
* Plug in the CD/DVD ROM and insert the Windows XP CD
* Reboot your system and follow the instructions.
* You will want to do a clean install, Dual Boot is not an option on this machine as it doesn’t have a big enough hard drive for 2 operating systems
* After the install is done the configure screen will come up. Follow the instructions and you will be fine.
* Congratulations you have Win XP.
If your just unhappy with SUSE (which I can understand) maybe you will want to try another Linux distro on your mini-note. Here is a site that will tell you the distro of Linux that is best for you ( http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/ ). Make sure to say that your computer is more then a few years old (this is so the quiz knows what your hardware requirements are). You will get a list of Linux distros and where to find them. If you have the option try to install the netbook version of that distro.
