Recently a major landmark was reached in the world of Linux. The first real user friendly rolling release distro. was released in the shape of Linux Mint Debian Edition

Linux Mint Debian Edition based upon the Debian Squeeze repository is broadly the same in appearance as the standard Linux Mint 9 Main Edition

So there it is finally a user friendly true Debian release which should go some considerable way to silencing the Debian purists that despise Ubuntu
No more system wide upgrades on the release of a new Ubuntu. All you need to do with Linux Mint Debian Edition is install it once and apply updates (I recommend checking for updates once a week)
Its a liitle rough around the edges but these are early days. The installer is not quite as straightforward as the standard edition and Nvidia Drivers need to be installed via the Terminal

You download the ISO. image of Linux Mint Debian then you need to create a Bootable LiveDVD for installation
Linux Mint Debian can also be run direct from the LiveDVD from Booting up without touching your Hard Drive
LUg.
I down loaded it Monday, but it will not boot up on my HP Slimline desktop because the required drivers are not included. Can’t guarantee it will boot up on several different computers. Most distributions will boot if I choose the option to boot in VESA mode if that option is available. It’s easier for me to run the Debian Net Installer and have a Debian Operating system. Most distributions based on Debian, use the untested or unstable repositories because it offers more files to be available.
I installed it on an 8GB USB pen drive.
Appearance – practically identical to the LM9 editions. I, of course, do my own little changes to the appearance anyway.
Software availability – it claims to be the same as the other releases, but I have found that some of the games are not available in the software manager. (I don’t use the OS often enough to notice any of the other things that may be missing, but sure there are a lot.)
As for stability – haven’t had a problem in my limited use.
