Linux reviews applications open source from SUSE Mandrake Mandriva Centos Redhat Debian and more
It was quite nice, when it came out, but that was about a decade ago.
By the standards of Linux today, it is ugly, lacking features, full of known security holes, and difficult to administrate.
It’s OLD, don’t bother. Download Ubuntu or buy SLES 10.
Well, seeing as its about five versions old, it ain’t that great.
Its great. Its like windows but way better. It works with everything. The software is coded by 1000′s of people all over the world that program to make things easy for you not confusing. They dont hide things from you like microsoft. They just hand it to you on a silver platter. Enjoy. takes a minute to get used to it but once you do you will most likley enjoy more then windows.
Never used it myself, but I’d give it a try in virtualbox if I were you
I do not know about the retail version of SUSE Linux 6.4 but I can tell you that OpenSUSE 10.3 is very interesting. I have OpenSUSE 10.3 on a second hard drive dual booting with Ubuntu 7.10. The SUSE Linux is quite a bit different than Ubuntu but so far I like it quite a bit.
I would recommend downloading the most current version and taking it for a test spin. I do believe they offer a LiveCD version.
Verrry interesting……..
