I’m fairly new to linux and i’m using openSUSE. I used the YaST package manager to download a few applications but now I don’t know where to find them. Where are these applications ususally located in the linux filesystem?

I'm starting a website with 1&1 and their hosting plans have either Linux hosting or Microsoft hosting. Does it matter what OS I'm using or is this how the server runs? What are the differences?

By best friend (since 6th grade, we're both 31) & homebrewing buddy wants to make a "mandrake ale". I told him that he is out of his mind & could possibly poison himself with it or go a little nuts, but he is stubborn & is going to do it anyway. He even started growing his own mandrake plants. What are your opinions on this?

Now, in the next few days I will be purchasing a new domain name from GoDaddy (as well as their Economy Hosting Plan). I am going to be hosting my blog on a sub-domain (my own piece of the website). I am just curious if one hosting package is better than the other:
Linux
Windows
Thanks!

I know there are cellphones that use the Linux OS but what else? The program is so customizable that I have to believe its used for other machines/tools than the computer.
Is Microsoft limited to the PC however?

Also which ones do you use the most?
